What does the babysitting cost?

The hourly rate of the babysitter is set after their interview and based on their experience and certifications. The range is from EUR 11 to EUR 25. The usual range for babysitting is EUR 11 to EUR 15 and for additional responsibilities, like cleaning the house, tutoring as well as babysitting, the hourly wage can be increased and agreed upon prior to booking. What if I need to cancel a booking?

How do I pay the babysitter?

Our Näpp platform is connected to Mollie Pay, so once the babysitting job is finished, your Näppsitter will send you a payment link and you can settle through Ideal or Credit Card.

How do you certify the babysitters?

Our babysitters have a detailed interview with one of the Näpp founders and we also verify that they have references. We discuss their experience taking care of children, availability and motivation to babysit. They also submit to an identification check, through providing government ID’s, university acceptance letters or confirmation of bank account. They can readily share references with families, if requested. Many Näppsitters are first aid certified and we also make available first-aid courses across the Netherlands with licensed pediatric medical practitioners or directly with the Red Cross.

What can I do if my Näppsitter cancels?

There are a few options. When your Näppsitter is sick or cannot otherwise fulfill their babysitting obligations, they can suggest another Näppsitter in the area. You can also reach out to us directly for support to find a new Näppsitter in your area, we are happy to help. Contact us directly at +31 650741177. During the initial interview and in the rules of engagement, Näppsitters agree to a reliability clause. They should provide a minimum of 24 hours notice and also respond within 24 hours. We discuss this with them in their onboarding as well. Our Näppsitters also join a local area Näpp WhatsApp group, to easily find a buddy in our community of Näppsitters. But cancellations may happen and therefore, you are welcome to contact us if you need additional support in finding a replacement.
