Welcome, dear readers!

My name is Stephany Angulo, and I am thrilled to invite you to the realm of caregiving. This blog series is the fruit of my passionate interest in child development, and I aim to leverage this platform to share invaluable perspectives, personal experiences, and enlightening research discoveries that have enriched my comprehension of children.

I am a Colombian psychologist who relocated to The Netherlands to pursue a master’s degree in Educational Sciences: Learning In Interaction at Utrecht University. Throughout my undergraduate studies, I was involved in a project aimed at disseminating research-based insights to caregivers, with the aim of enhancing the bond between children and their caregivers and parents.

Since 2020, I have accumulated valuable experience in caring for children within my hometown, and I have also worked in a Colombian school to assist in the enhancement of emotional management skills in children. The aim of this blog series is to blend scientific knowledge with practical application, while also fostering a community of like-minded individuals who share a passion for the growth and development of children. Our topics of discussion will include parenting styles, emotional awareness, and effective communication with children. Let’s embark on a journey of learning and growth together!

I’m thrilled to welcome you to this network! Shall we begin this journey together? Don’t hesitate to reach out to me, share your ideas, or just say hi. I’m looking forward to getting to know you better!

In our next blog , we’ll introduce the Emotional Body Map—a powerful tool for understanding and managing emotions. This visual guide helps identify where emotions are felt in the body. It’s a valuable exercise for both adults and children, promoting open conversations about feelings. Stay tuned for my step-by-step instructions!

Cheer, Stephany
